Four Ways to Get Involved

Sunday Ministries

Praise & Worship

Praise and Worship – The Bible instructs us to Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. (Psalm 100:4) The theme of our worship teams is “It’s All About Him!” Praise & Worship is a priority for us. God desires our enthusiastic praise coupled with intimate worship.

LWC Kid’s Ministry

At LWC, our desire is to see our children worshiping and serving God when they are  5, 15, 35, and 75 years old.  We partner with parents in teaching children about a relationship and walk with God. Our desire is to see each child grow in a stronger relationship with Jesus, and to also assist them to realize God's purpose in their lives. The safety of our children is very important to us. Each youth and children’s worker, in addition to the entire church leadership team, has been formally screened with a national and state criminal background check.

Prayer Ministries

Noon Prayer

Join us for noon prayer 2 days each week, where we pray for a variety of issues. On Tuesdays we meet on Zoom. On Wednesdays, you can join us on Zoom or come to the church where we meet in the lobby. Please contact a pastor to obtain a link the for the Zoom sessions

Ignite Prayer

The purpose of this prayer meeting is to contend for our families, our city, and our state—for breakthrough.  This meeting is held every Friday, starting at 7:30 pm.  All ages are welcome to come.

Intercessory Prayer

“I looked for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand before Me in the gap on behalf of the land so that I would not destroy it.” Ezekiel 22:30

Our intercessory prayer team has answered the call to “stand in the gap” for our leaders, our members, and visitors during the Sunday morning services. We pray for an atmosphere which will prepare the way of the manifest presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Altar Team

Our altar ministry team prays for people after each service.  We believe strongly that God wants to bring healing to His people, spiritually, physically and emotionally.  We are a community of believers who need each other.

Family Ministries

Small Groups

We take seriously the Scriptural mandate to ‘make disciples’.  We gear our small groups to fulfill this commission.  Each week small groups meet in homes or at the church. In these groups, we share our lives, pray for one another, and study the scriptures to learn to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ.

Men’s Breakfast

The men of LWC meet together for a breakfast and a time of study the first Saturday of each month at 8:30 am. Our purpose is to challenge and strengthen men as they face the daily struggles of life. We want to come along side of men and offer them hope and encouragement.

Women’s Breakfast

Women need women. We need to laugh, cry, and share our joys and sorrows with one another. At LWC we come together as women, not only to meet these basic needs, but also to study the Scriptures and grow together in the Lord. Once a month the women gather for breakfast and a time of sharing.

Men’s Bible Study

Join us on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings, at 6:30 pm each month for a time of studying the scriptures, sharing personal needs, encouraging and praying for each other.  This is a time for men to connect, support and spur one another to good works.

Youth Group

The Deep End is for all middle and high school students. The Deep End meets every Friday night at 6:30pm pm to hang out, have fun, study the Bible, and worship God. Come alone or bring some friends!

Outreach Ministries

Luke 10 Ministry

Once a month on a Sunday, a team of people go out into the community to talk to people, pray for them, and share our testimonies of God’s love.

Bake ‘n Take

Each Friday evening. LWC takes snacks to the Emergency Room at Aurora Regional Medical Center. We are known there as “the church.” We do this because we want to serve those who are serving our community. This is a small way for us to thank the hospital staff for all they do.

Grocery Give-Away

Weekly we gather groceries from various sources and hand them out to those in need. Each week as we hand out bags of groceries we interact with those who come. It is our intent to love the people and share the gospel. We also take prayer requests and pray with the people.

International Missions

Weekly, at each service, we pray for different countries of the world. We call this “Prayer for the Nations.” We also support missionaries in Burma, Indonesia, Israel, Mexico, China, the Middle East, India and Romania, as well as the United States. We desire to have a world-vision for reaching the lost for Jesus Christ.
