Praise & Worship
Praise and Worship – The Bible instructs us to Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. (Psalm 100:4) The theme of our worship teams is “It’s All About Him!” Praise & Worship is a priority for us. God desires our enthusiastic praise coupled with intimate worship.
LWC Kid’s Ministry
At LWC, our desire is to see our children worshiping and serving God when they are 5, 15, 35, and 75 years old. We partner with parents in teaching children about a relationship and walk with God. Our desire is to see each child grow in a stronger relationship with Jesus, and to also assist them to realize God's purpose in their lives. The safety of our children is very important to us. Each youth and children’s worker, in addition to the entire church leadership team, has been formally screened with a national and state criminal background check.
For our Spanish speakers, there is a Spanish Worship Service on Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm in the fellowship hall. Join us as we worship the Lord and hear dynamic preaching.
Prayer is a major focus at LWC. We come together on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 7 pm to pursue God together. This time includes worship and prayer, seeking God’s face. We pray for our church, our city, our nation, as well as for us as individuals.
The purpose of this prayer meeting is to contend for our families, our city, and our state—for breakthrough. This meeting is held every Friday, starting at 7:30 pm. All ages are welcome to come.
“I looked for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand before Me in the gap on behalf of the land so that I would not destroy it.” Ezekiel 22:30
Our intercessory prayer team has answered the call to “stand in the gap” for our leaders, our members, and visitors during the Sunday morning services. We pray for an atmosphere which will prepare the way of the manifest presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our altar ministry team prays for people after each service. We believe strongly that God wants to bring healing to His people, spiritually, physically and emotionally. We are a community of believers who need each other need each other.
P.U.S.H. (Pray Until Something Happens)
This prayer time is an opportunity for us to pray for the sick and hurting. Together we seek God for supernatural healing, praying for the miraculous. All are welcome to join us.
We take seriously the Scriptural mandate to ‘make disciples’. We gear our small groups to fulfill this commission. Each week small groups meet in homes or at the church. In these groups, we share our lives, pray for one another, and study the scriptures to learn to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ.
The men of LWC meet together for a breakfast and a time of study the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 am. Our purpose is to challenge and strengthen men as they face the daily struggles of life. We want to come along side of men and offer them hope and encouragement.
Women need women. We need to laugh, cry, and share our joys and sorrows with one another. At LWC we come together as women, not only to meet these basic needs, but also to study the Scriptures and grow together in the Lord. Once a month the women gather for breakfast and a time of sharing.
Women’s Bible Study
Join us twice a month for a time of studying the scriptures, sharing personal needs, encouraging and praying for each other. We seek to grow individually and together. Childcare is provided.
The Deep End is for all Junior and Senior High students. The Deep End meets every Friday night at 7 pm to hang out, have fun, study the Bible, and worship God. Come along or bring some friends! Everyone is welcome!
Each Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m., our middle school and high school youth gather together to laugh, pray, study the bible, memorize scripture, and talk God’s answers to different life issues.
This one-to-one caring ministry provides high quality, confidential, Christ centered care to people who are hurting. Each member of our Care Team has gone through Stephen Ministry training, to minister to those who are struggling through a difficult time in life—grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness or some other life crisis.
Spanish Bible Study
Once a week we host a Spanish Bible Study. After the study, a Mexican food lunch is served.
Luke 10 Ministry
Once a month on a Sunday, a team of people to go out into the community to talk to people, pray for them, and share our testimonies of God’s love.
Open Door Outreach
As the day of Christ’s return approaches, the church will need to be an open door to those who may have never stepped foot in a church or who have fallen away. Open Door Ministry is an outreach to the poor and needy in Aurora and the surrounding areas.
The church collects coats, hats, gloves, and socks to give to needy people. As we offer help to people’s physical needs we desire to minister to their spiritual needs as well. The Bible states “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach the Good News to the poor.” (Luke 4:18 NLT) We schedule outreaches in a local park to distribute the items we have collected and plant eternal seeds of hope and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.
Bake ‘n Take
Each Friday evening. LWC takes snacks to the Emergency Room at Aurora Regional Medical Center. We are know there as “the church.” We do this because we want to serve those who are serving our community. This is a small way for us to thank the hospital staff for all they do.
Weekly, at each service, we pray for different countries of the world. We call this “Prayer for the Nations.” We also support missionaries in Burma, Indonesia, Israel, Mexico, China, the Middle East, India and Romania, as well as the United States. We desire to have a world-vision for reaching the lost for Jesus Christ.
